The final hype vid of the 2022 season, I knew the first thing I wanted to do with this vid was incorporate photo parallaxes. This would give it a bit of an extra flare and separate it from the previous vids. I used film burn overlays to mask any imperfections of the parallaxes while giving a nice thematic intro.
Everyone told me this was their favorite hype vid of the season but I kinda liked the July One the best…
Sod Poodles April 2024 Hype Video
Pressure makes diamonds and this video is the result of essentially 3 all-nighters in a row. Our team media day was on a Wednesday and Opening Night was the following Friday. Night time was the only free time I had to edit this vid, due to all my other duties as production manager to have all aspects of production ready for opening night.
Very pleased with how this turned out! I got to use our Nanlite Pavotube kit that was purchased in the offseason and it just made the shoot so epic! Also, as soon as I heard Young Metro drop "Like That," I knew that would be the song for the vid!
Sod Poodles September 2022 Hype Video
I really love the crumpled paper effects on this one. It makes for some killer transitions without being overly flashy. Jordan Lawlar and Ryan Bliss had some killer plays this month, as did a lot of players on the team, making this an easy video to put together!
This was another instance of when I heard "No Weakness" off the latest DJ Drama album, I knew that was the song!

Sod Poodles Starting Line-Up Hype Videos
My favorite projects to work on as the Production Manager for the Amarillo Sod Poodles, I get to inject my personal taste into these vids while showing off the amazing skill and attitude of the players in our organization.
These vids play right before we introduce that night’s starting line-up, and showcase all the amazing plays our team has made at that point in the season.
While they are fun, it can be quite the challenge at times to give each vid its own distinct feel, which is where the music comes into play.
Other Works
A very fun vlog style vid taking place at our city’s local comic con featuring the Sod Poodles’ mascot, RUCKUS. We feature him in various costumes and interacting with con-goers.
This vid actually wasn’t used for social media but for an in-game promotion sponsored by Raising Cane’s. We always like our sponsored video content to be funny and it’s even better when it’s completely natural from the players.
2022 saw new rules implemented for the MILB to increase pace of play. We created a video explaining them with a very silly old-timey vibe. I got to be very silly with this one while still thoroughly explaining the new rules.
